Home Interior Design Schools (Seven Of The World’s Best )

This is of seven of the world’s best interior design schools. The list was arrived at by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation organization from the results of the Almanac of Architecture and Design. The same schools appear consistently, year after year, because of the excellence of their programs.
With the proliferation of design schools in the U.S. and abroad, you may be wondering how to tell what schools are the best interior design schools available.
There is great debate over what makes a school top ranked in design, but one thing is important: accreditation.

Interior Design Accreditation
Accreditation is only one aspect of successful interior design programs. There are a number of other factors that can influence a ranking body to place interior design colleges lower or higher on the list. It may look at feedback from employment placement to ascertain how successful a school is at preparing their students to work for interior design firms. There are a variety of personal considerations like location, financial aide assistance, and your particular artistic goals. In addition, you may find it very difficult to get into some of the higher ranked schools. So, use the ranking lists, but don’t let that be the sole criteria for your choice of school.

Top Ranking Interior Design List:
- The Council for Interior Design Accreditation lists the following schools as ranked highly in the U.S., according to the Almanac of Architecture and Design.
- The University of Cincinnati in Ohio
- Pratt Institute in New York
- Kansas State in Kansas
- Cornell in New York
- Arizona State in Arizona

In addition, the council recognizes two other interior design programs on their website:
- The Art Institute of Toronto in Toronto, Canada
- American Intercontinental University in London, UK
